Once upon a Time…
The Gal Pal Garment Deodorant Remover became a vision in Shannon Larkin's eye back in late 2001. After being frustrated with always taking her clothes with deodorant marks directly to the dry cleaner (often without ever getting to wear them out) the idea came to her one day. Early one evening, while getting ready for an important dinner, she found herself only several hours away from the dinner and in a sea of beautiful dresses at a local boutique. When she finally found the perfect dress she realized it had deodorant marks along the sides of it and there was not another one in her size. She needed a solution that was permanent and quick so she used her resources and the Gal Pal Garment Deodorant Remover became a reality.
Knowing full well that there was nothing like this on the market (having seen plenty of people with great outfits on with one minor problem… those pesky deodorant marks along the side that just ruin that perfect look) Shannon then called upon her friend Courtney Rovira. Having first met at an Investment firm in Los Angeles in the mid 1990's a friendship formed. In 2000 Shannon left to go work for a Venture Capital firm in Santa Monica and brought Courtney with her. Both women left their positions in the Venture Capital world about the same time wanting to do something different, on their own, and away from the "good old boys" club they had been working in for years. After careful consideration (both women unemployed and on a budget) they decided to make the first ever "Gal Pal Garment Deodorant Remover." Both Shannon and Courtney saw how useful this product really was. Hence The Gal Pal Garment Deodorant Remover was created with the intention of solving a frequent problem that can be annoying as well as costly …
